The Association of International Dispatchers of Ukraine (AIFU) was created by the initiative of under 100 transport and forwarding organizations of Ukraine of carious property forms on September 27, 1994 and is a professional, voluntary, non-commercial union of international forwarders of Ukraine. The AIDU is a national association of International Federation of Forwarder Associations (FIATA), a member of the European organization of forwarding and Logistics (СLЕСАТ). The aim of association activity is coordination of forwarders’ efforts of Ukraine for solution of problems of their professional activity which represent general interest.
The members of the AIFU operate in all the regions of Ukraine ad abroad, work with all means of transport and cargo, and also according to orders of cargo owners supply them services connected with foreign economical operations (duty documentation, freight, insurance, observation and so on) by transportation of export, import and transit cargos.
Main tasks of the association:
- support in establishment of forwarding as a new branch of the market economy of Ukraine ;
- generalization of world experience in forwarding activity aiming at integration of Ukraine into the world market of forwarding services;
- support of improvement of service quality supplied in the transport and transport and forwarding servicing sphere in general attraction of additional volumes of transportations through Ukraine;
- protection of the Ukrainian market of transport and forwarding services from dishonest home and foreign forwarders;
- training of professional personnel and improvement of skills of specialists of forwarding organizations in correspondence to the FIATA standards;
- informational provision in professional activity questions;
- conduction of seminars, councils, conferences in questions of organization and practice of forwarding activity;
- scientific and methodic and legal provision of transport and forwarding activity, help to the members of the association in receiving of necessary information, publishing of ten formative bulletins and regulative reference literature;
- protection of professional interests of the AIFU members in the state power bodies and administration, their representation in international conferences and exhibitions;
- establishment of close partner relations with AIFU members and their colleagues in Ukraine and abroad.
