The work of the enterprise of the city electric transport is complicated and specific. The citizen as they see trams and trolleybuses in the morning never even think that to make them enter the line timely a lot of services are working 24 hours. One of such very important enterprises for Mykolaiv is the Communal Enterprise of the Mykolaiv City Council "Mykolaivelectrotrans".
The history of the enterprise began on the 26.07.1897 with the horse force and on the 3rd of January 1915 the Mykolaiv tram began its motion, gradually expanding its routes.
In 1951 the tram depot # 2 was placed into operation and in 1967 the first trolleybus went to the streets of the city.
The movable park content is various, these are КТМ-5МZ, КТМ-8М, ТZМ, ZHU-9, LAZ, К-11, YМZ-Т1, special transport.
At the enterprise wagon repair workshop with a huge potential for the repair of the tram carriages, trolleybuses, a workshop for the repairs of electric machines, a joiner’s workshop exist. The production grounds are used not only for the carrying out of the own repairs, but for provision of services to common and other enterprises of the city.
The priority direction of the city transport development as an integral part of the development of cities of our country is its ecological part. CE of MCC "Mykolaivelectrotrans" is ready to accept investment projects for the following development of the branch of city electric transport - the transport of the future…

- transportations of passengers by city electric transport;
- repairs of tram carriages, trolleybus machines;
- repairs of the electric machines;
- supply of repair services to the other enterprises of the city.
