__Kryukovsky railway car building works has a long and interesting history. In 2009 it will turn 135 since the day of establishment. Once there were car-repair workshops of the railway of connection Kharkiv - Mykolaiv where 400 persons worked, and nowadays it is a versatile enterprise with a unique structure of manufacture: on one production area there are manufactured both freight and passenger cars, as well as another types of products.

__The enterprise has some historical marks.

__In 1874 car-repair workshops have been created.

__In 1896 large reconstruction and development of workshops have been started; at that time there have been builded wheelset and bogie shops, which form a part of main funds of the enterprise up to now.

__After civil war the collective of the factory had to overcome big difficulties. Nevertheless in 1923 the manufacture increasing has begun. In 1930 car-repair workshops were reorganized into Kryukovsky railway car building works. Since that time development and manufacture of new freight cars have begun. In November 1930 the first product - 20 t. flat car has been manufactured.

__2001 became the time of creation of a new direction of domestic railway car building: at Kryukovsky railway car building works there has been made the first domestic passenger car. In February of the same year there had been completed the assembling of 100th passenger car at the enterprise. Among them - express trains "Kyiv - Kharkiv", "Kyiv - Dnipropetrovsk", "Kyiv - Moscow", and factory workers are proud of them by right.

__Last achievement - creation of 7023-01 model freight open top car with qualitatively new specifications (increased run between repairs, carrying capacity and corrossion resistance) and new bogie for this car.

__The flat cars are also produced at the enterprise. Among the newest developments of designers - family of hopper cars of modular type for transportation of grain, fertilizers which are in demand of consumers.

__As to passenger car building there are also great achievements - 10 modifications of the passenger car. Among them there are compartment ones, sleeping cars, cars with places for sitting, the car equipped with the lift for disabled people transportation, the bar car. "Ukraine-2" new generation passenger car equipped with bogies of own production, which may ensure up to 160 km/h speed, had successfully passed the test; in September 2007 the interdepartmental commission recommended these new products for serial production.

__At Kryukovsky railway car building works the first Ukrainian motor grader of middle class was created.

__Manufacturing of spare parts for undergrounds, and also escalators and underground cars was developed.

__In January 2006 the first domestic underground train of five cars had been transferred to Kyiv underground for testing.

__Among products made at Kryukovsky railway car building works there are spare parts and units for mining-concentrating plants, running and spare parts for railway transport, etc. Among traditional consumers of freight cars there are Cuba and China.

__Kryukovsky railway car building works works successfully at the markets of Kazakhstan, Belarus, Baltic states, Russia.

__There should be also montioned the supply of products to the market of Asia, in particular, for Iran.

__Container products are delivered to the market of Europe.

__Domestic undergrounds, among which - Kyiv and Kharkiv, are the consumers of products for the underground. Supply of spare parts and escalators are conducted for Minsk and other undergrounds of the CIS countries, since Kryukovsky railway car building works is a member of Association "Underground".

__Pessenger cars are delivered only to the market of Ukraine for the present. The only one and regular customer is Ukrzaliznytsia. Negotiations concerning deliveries of passenger cars to other CIS countries are carried out.
