__He is a doctor of agricultural sciences, professor, academician of UAAS, foreign member of RASGN, honored worker of science and technology of Ukraine, twice laureate of the State award in the area of science and technology. For achievements in the professional world and contribution to the society by the Board of American Biographic Institute, as outstanding person, he was given the prestigious rank the "Person of the year - 2003". __of agricultural sciences, professor, and corresponding member of UAAN. The main direction of scientific activity of institute is the development of theoretical and practical basics of soil-protective water security systems in agriculture based on stabilization of land use, optimization of structure of sowing plots taking into account agrobiological expediency of placing of agricultural crops and world market conjuncture, working out of intensive, ecologically safe technologies of cultivation of competitive production of plant growing, increase of recoupment of power resources and use of PAR; improvement of selection methods for field cultures. Institute has worked out and put into production:

__- improved soil-protective agriculture system based on withdrawal from unproductive erosion-dangerous grounds processing and contour - land-reclamation territory arrangement;

__- biological and agro-ecological principles of crop rotations structure;

__- control systems of fertility of acid and solonetzic soils;

__- Systems of culture fertilization and technology of application of fertilizers, ameliorator, collateral plant growing production, green manure and biological products;

__- differentiated systems of ground cultivation and weeds prevention;

__- agriculture systems on drained organogenic soils;

__- intensive ecology-protective technologies of competitive production reception of grain crops and corn, beans, oil and grainy cultures; one-year-old and long-term grass. Developed projects of creation and use of haymaking and grassland;

__- technologies of cultivation, gathering and processing of flax;

__- new cultures of nitrogen-fixing bacteria and phosphorus microorganisms; technologies of manufacture of nitragin, bacterial fertilizer and phosphorus fertilizer.

__The institute has finished more than 1200 scientific and technical developments, including more than 300 grades and hybrids of agricultural crops from which 126 was brought to the State Register of grades of Ukraine and abroad in 2008. The institute has high scientific potential of 19 doctors of sciences, on them 7 academicians and member-correspondents, 14 professors, 83 candidates of sciences.
