__Technical activity of the company is directed to planning, coordination and ensuring work of subordinated divisions dealing with maintenance of working condition and operational reliability of transfer and delivery electric power to area consumers. Economy of power resources is one of the main problems that OJSC "Cherkasyoblenerho" is dealing with at the moment. It is impossible to utilize developed electric power carefully without adjustment of accurate account of its use. Therefore there was a necessity to replace outdated electric meters. As neither foreign, nor domestic meters meet the modern requirements, experts of OJSC "Cherkasyoblenerho" have offered the design of new electronic device. New counters after test have shown high reliability and durability. New product has the corresponding certificate of quality. It has been in production for 3 years now. One kind of work which is carried out at company in the nature protection purposes and has probably nature protection value and promotes reduction of defeat of birds by an electric current, establishment of birds-protective devices on supports of high-voltage lines. The service of high-voltage constructions in 2007 during planned work at PL 35/154 kilovolt has installed 1297 birds-protective devices. Company does the work of production wastes recycling. According to concluded contracts an industrial and household waste in collected at designated areas and transported to specialized establishments for processing and recycling. The company has agreed to replace 500 condensers that contain PCB in five years. The enterprise also participates in the regional program of struggle with ambrosia. The considerable attention is given to improvement and landscaping of industrial territories of OJSC "Cherkasyoblenerho". The department of ecology of Cherkassy City Executive Committee has promoted acquisition of decorative bushes and trees for gardening in 2004-2005 for territories of the enterprise. Conduction of annual conferences with eco-anthropogenic questions promotes education of each worker, careful relation to natural resources, participation in great work of protection and restoration of environment.
