__OJSC "Dniproenerho" is the leader of thermal generation of Ukraine, most powerful of the thermal companies of Ukraine. It consists of: Pridneprovsky TPP with established capacity of 1765 megawatt; Krivorozhsky TPP with 2820 megawatt; Zaporizhia TPP with 3600 megawatt; three repair-adjusted enterprises, motor transportation enterprise and the enterprise of the militarized protection. Electric energy is the basic production of OJSC "Dniproenerho". In 2007 the company has produced 16,6 billions kilowatt-hours that makes 8,5 % of all electric power of Ukraine. For manufacture of electric and thermal energy considerable amount of coal, gas and black oil is burnt. That creates great technogenic loading on the natural environment.

__According to strategic directions of capacities development of OJSC "Dniproenerho" there have been developed ecological measures on TPP which are dictated first of all by care of native land and people, who work and live on this earth; it became a part of ecological status improvement Program for Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia oblasts by reduction of environment pollution. Problems of emissions of firm shares (dust) in atmospheric air are one of most ecologically important.

__For the purpose of solving this problem in the block No. 4 300 МВт of Kryvorizhsky ТPP there were established new electric filters of type EGBM 2-54-12-4-6 which efficiency makes 99,3 %. It has reduced emissions of firm substances into atmosphere on a mark of 7 thousand tons per year. Reconstruction cost UAH 24 million. During modernisation of gas treating equipment of power units there is also planned introduction to modern system of monitoring of emissions of polluting substances in atmospheric air. The company pays much attention to soluiton of ecological problems at a part reduction of pollution of superficial and underground waters, soils, change of hydrodynamic level of underground waters around placing золовідвалів, protection of fish stocks. So, since 2005 it is begun reconstruction of biological treatment facilities (BOSS) of Prydniprovsky ТPP. To stop application of dangerous for people gaseous chlorine, the annual which volume of use made 24 tons, in 2006 there was performed reconstruction of drains disinfecting system with transfer sodium.

__In 2007 there was spent working out and introduction of the coagulation scheme of secondary sediment bowls that has allowed to increase efficiency

__of biological clearing of drains and to reduce quantity to dump substances. Works are annually performed on escalating of ash dams, that allows to shroud in their water and considerably to reduce amount of dust which goes up to the air. To protect and preserve fish stocks of Dnipro in 2007 at water fence BNS-2 of Prydniprovsky ТPP there was established a fish diversion device. Experts of OJSC "Dniproenerho" work on volume reduction of ash-and-slag residuals placing in ash-and-slag aggregates. For 2008 there is a plan to mount the plant on slag processing that will allow to reduce the price dump 7-12%.
