__On December, 16th, 1994 the former enterprise of electronic industry has been transferred in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and named Research-and-production association "Fort". Well-known way of the first enterprise in Ukraine which lets out shooting weapon has begun.

__Almost a year later the president of the country has confirmed a sample of award weapon "Fort-12N". How is it possible to develop and produce award weapon at the enterprise which did not exist one year ago?! It was the first victory.

__Now the weapon "Fort" wins the increasing popularity every year, it is known both in our country and beyond its borders.

__The pistol "Fort-12" was the first fighting weapon.

__This pistol contained all best ideas of the modern weapon due to what it had high accuracy and reliable characteristics.

__The following development of the enterprise was the pistol "Fort-14TP" which fighters of special divisions liked very much. All positive principles of construction of the system of a pistol have come out from "Fort-12".

__In connection with increase in popularity of practical shooting IPSC, and also with the advent of a considerable number of shooting clubs, the enterprise developed and produces sports pistols "Cobra", "Sokil", "Berkut" for a cartridge 9х18-7.

__An effective mean of self-defense is pistols for shooting with cartridges with an elastic bullet. The enterprise lets out a variety of such products from the smallest to the biggest: "Fort-6R", "Fort-12R", "Fort-17R", "Fort-10R", "Fort-18R", "Fort-13R", "Fort-12Т", "Fort-17Т". All these products have high quality indicators as they are produced according to the technologies of service pistols.

__A number of models of pomp guns of different modifications has been also developed and is produced in lots ("Fort-500", "Fort-500А", "Fort-500Т" and "Fort-500M"). These guns are service smoothbore weapon of support for equipment of subsections of power structures. Caliber 12/70, 12/76. Aim range of shooting is 100 m. Guns have good ergonomics, are completed at will of the customer with butt, pistol handle, nozzles: cylinder, half-chock and chock. The weapon can be produced as a hunting one.

__The enterprise is engaged in modification of submachine guns and carbines by Soviet manufacture.

__All weapons can be produced with different kinds of covering, including encrusting of precious metals, including silver and gold. Wooden details of the weapon can be made of wood of noble breeds.

__Analyzing 14-year way of the State Research-and-Production Association "Fort" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine headed by the chief of association the colonel of militia Pysarenko Viktor Hryhorovych, it is possible to tell that the miracle has happened. For fourteen years the considerable quantity of models and modifications of shooting weapon, special means of defensive appointment have been developed, tested and started in serial production from nothing, the bases of Ukrainian school of weapon business were started. And this happened during years when a considerable number of the enterprises "died", when it was difficult to find necessary materials, tools, equipment - "Fort" was born, has got stronger and continues the victorious way!
