__Regional landscape park "Trakhtemyriv" - the first non-state reserve created in Ukraine has started its activity in 2000. The founder of RLP "Trakhtemyriv" is Closed Joint-Stock Company "Agrarian-Ecological Association "Trakhtemyriv" which head is A.P. Slonevskyi.

__In July, 2000 RLP "Trakhtemyriv" is registered in the Myroniv district state administration as an environmental, research and ecologic-educational establishment.

__According to quantity and cost of historical and cultural memorials the territory of the park has no equal in Podniprovie. Here there are revealed and mapped about 70 sites of national archaeological memorials which are transferred to RLP for protection.

__Rare and endangered species of flora, rich and various fauna, picturesque territory give all bases to consider the landscape park Trakhtemyriv an adornment not only of Middle Podniprovie, but of the whole Ukraine.

__It stands in one row with Sacred Mountains, in Siverskyi Donets, reserved Shvatski lakes in Volyn oblast, the stone fairy-tale Karadag in Crimea, historical natural boundary Burskyi Hrad at the river Pivdennyi Buh and Zarvanytsia in Ternopil oblast.

__The fauna of the landscape park "Trakhtemyriv" has remained in condition, close to natural. In the park there are 39 kinds of rare animals. Among them 25 kinds are registered in the Red Book of Ukraine, 4 kinds belong to the European Red List of animals and plants which are under the threat of destruction and 10 other kinds are considered regionally rare or kinds that are under the threat of disappearance.

__For today RLP "Trakhtemyriv" is a structure of private character, control of which is carried out by the state bodies. Employees of the Protection Service which has been created in RLP in 2001 protect territories of RLP, and also are engaged in detention of persons which do illegal hunting on the territories of RLP. Also among functional duties of the Protection Service of RLP there is so-called "black archeologists" control. During activity of RLP 56 persons have been detained and by the decision of the court the fines have been imposed. RLP fulfills all tasks and functions much more effectively than the reserved structures which are in the state property.
