__The total area of the hunting lands of Rivne oblast makes 1 million 567, 2 thousand hectares.

__Having fulfilled the "Program of development of the hunting economy for 2004-2006" the enterprises of forest sphere have constructed 11 open-air cages for semifree keeping and cultivation of wild pigs, 2 open-air cages for East deer. In these open-air cages there are 160 goals of wild pigs, 60 goals of East deer. In its turn it assists increase in number of local population of hoofed animals due to annual release of a part of animals into habitat, and also realization (sale) of young growth to users of the hunting lands of oblast and Ukraine.

__For the purpose of keeping and reproduction of wild fauna in oblast they constantly increase the area of territories on which hunting is forbidden in full or partly, first of all due to creation of new objects and territories of natural-reserved fund. In total on the territory of oblast there are 303 objects of natural-reserved fund of 169, 7 thousand hectares. 20 % of the territory of the hunting lands of the total area of lands of oblast is 304, 8 thousand hectares defined as reproducing sites where hunting is not spent.

__For supplementary feeding of wild animals the users of the hunting lands prepare and put out into habitat a complex of various forages. Thus, only throughout 2006 in oblast there have been put out: root crops - 190 tons, grain - 395 tons, grain sheaves - 30 thousand pieces, corn - 94 tons, oak acorn - 10 tons, salt - 69 tons, hay - 134 tons, silo - 19 tons, deciduous brooms - 156 thousand pieces and other forages.

__In the hunting lands of oblast it is possible to meet rare for Ukraine wild animals registered in the Red Book: wood-grouse, gray hen, hazel grouse, and lynx.

__Introduction of new and modern forms of housekeeping is provided in the hunting economy: transition to individual hunting, hunting from towers, organization of hunting clubs, attraction of investors, revival of the hunting tourism, tender realization of licenses and others.
