__Last October Ivan Yakovets was appointed as a chairman of the State concern of spirit and liker-vodka industry (concern "Ukrspyrt").

__Founded by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in 1996 for the purpose of formation and realization of a uniform state policy in production of spirit ethyl, vodka and liker-vodka products, the State concern of spirit and the liker-vodka industry today is a team of professionals, the main criterion of work is quality and conformity to present requirements.

__The structure of the concern "Ukrspyrt" includes 9 regional state associations of spirit and liker-vodka industry and 85 enterprises with the state pattern of ownership. At the branch more than 10 thousand persons work. The primary goals of the concern "Ukrspyrt":

__- maintenance of production of spirit, vodka and liker-vodka products, bioethanol, other production; meeting of the state needs and demand of the population;

__- acceptance of measures for creation of new productions and liquidation of outdated ones;

__- improvement of quality and competitiveness of production, produced by the enterprises of the concern;

__- realization of a uniform technical policy which is directed to achievement of a world technological level of manufacture and production quality;

__- foreign trade activities, including export of production made by the enterprises of the concern;

__- conducting of marketing of the market of ethyl spirit, vodka and liker-vodka products and development of new commodity markets and production;

__- development of mutually advantageous communications with the domestic foreign enterprises and organisations.

__The enterprises of the concern "Ukrspyrt", having wide experience of production of the spirit, during many years productively co-operates with domestic foreign partners on mutually advantageous conditions, offering high-quality production at the market: spirit ethyl rectified "Lux", "Extra", pure spirit of best quality, spirit ethyl technical. Production of technical appointment such as wind-screen wipers, solvents multicomponent, organic, etc. are in deserved demand. At spirit and liker-vodka distilleries, except basic production, there had been organized the production of some other kinds of production: baker’s yeast, dry nutrient yeast, carbonic acid, medical products, fermental preparations, concentrated juices, malt brewing, dry fodder enriches (the dry grain malt-residue), a concentrate kvass mashes etc. High-quality production of the concern is used in liker-vodka, pharmaceutical, perfumery and chemical industries.
