__

__O.H. Popel is an honored worker of Ukraine, honors pupil of oil industry and an honorable worker of Ukrgazprom.

__He is the winner of the award of the International Confederation of Trade Unions of Workers of Oil and Gas Industry and Building of Oil and Gas Complex, the winner of all-Ukrainian competition "Leader of fuel and energy complex" in a nomination "Public figure".

__Was awarded the medals "Veteran of labour" and "To 1500th anniversary of Kyiv", a memorable sign "Participant of building of gas pipeline Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhhorod", honorable difference of Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, honorable difference of NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine" of the 1st category.

__He has made the personal significant contribution to development and adoption of the Charter of independent branch trade union of Ukraine, he is personally responsible for adoption and performance of the Branch tariff agreement between trade union, the Ministry of Fuel and Energy and NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine".

__O.H. Popel is a member of presidium of Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, a member of the board of Fund of Social Insurance of Ukraine, a member of presidium of the International Confederation of Trade Unions of Oil and Gas Industry of the CIS, a member of the International Confederation of Energy Trade Unions (ІСЕМ).

__The trade union headed by O.H. Popel supervises working conditions at the enterprise, performance of the legislation on work.

__As a chief-editor of the newspaper "Naftogazprofspilka" Oleksandr Popel skilfully uses wide opportunities and modern media-technologies in an important issue of protection of interests of the person and labour.
