__Specific character of work of Crimean road workers is reasoned by the fact that over 1000 kilometres of road are located in the mountains. There are

__232 cadastral landslides with the length of 403 kilometres in Crimea. Total length of the roads that directly pass these landslides is 37,2 kilometres. Crimean enterprise OJSC "Yuzhdorstroy", previously the trust "Yuzhdorstroy", occupies leading positions in solution of these tasks and is a leader of road-building industry of Crimea for 40 years.

__The trust ’Yuzhdorstroy" was organized in 1965 on the base of six road-building departments on the base of the order of Ministry of Road Building of Ukrainian SSR. For more than 40 years of its history OJSC "Yuzhdorstroy" made significant contribution to development of road network of Crimea and Ukraine. Presently 1800 million hryvnas are covered, including 1370 million hryvnas at own cost; over 2150 kilometres of roads are built, including the highway Simferopol-Yalta-Sevastopol with the first in the world mountain trolleybus highway. The trust "Yuzhdorstroy" was awarded Labour Red Flag order for participation in its building.

__Today OJSC "Yuzhdorstroy" unites six production subdivisions with over 560 qualified specialists and the following subsidiaries: "Road-Building Department-44" Ltd. (Yalta), DE "Road-Building Department-45" (Feodosia), DE "Autobase-4" (Simferopol), DE "Road-Building Department-5" (Simferopol), UMDS-8 (Simferopol), "Road-Building Department-49" Ltd. (Krasnoperekopsk) and OJSC "Sevdorstroy" (Sevastopol).

__The collective of the enterprise pays great attention to the building and reconstruction of own production bases. Thus, the enterprise built production bases with administrative rooms of autobase "Yuzhdorstroy", department of mechanization of road building in Simferopol, "Road-Building Department-49" Ltd. in Krasnoperekopsk and administrative building "Road-Building Department-44" Ltd. in Yalta.

__Presently OJSC "Yuzhdorstroy" and its subdivisions have six production bases, equipped with asphalt mixers DS-117-2K, DS-158, DS-168 with production power of 160 tons an hour, asphalt pavers "Titan", vibration rollers HAMM and other technique.
