__City Production department of plumbing economy grows together with the city and provides it with quality services of water supply and drainage system.

__Despite considerable difficulties in economic sector of Ukraine even today RDPE represents very big complex of plants and constructions which ensure reliable functioning of a life-support system of the city and one of the largest enterprises of Ukraine - Poltava GZK - water supply and drainage system.

__City water supply is taken from Dnipro - the main surface source of water supply of Ukraine. Based on quality of water from the source, process of water preparation is directed on decrease in indicators of chromaticity, opacity, contents of iron compound, smell and taste.

__Since 2000 coagulant "Polvak" is analyzed in laboratory conditions. It is hydrocsichloride of aluminum which is produced at Pologiv chemical plant "Coagulant". After obtaining positive results and coordination with agency of sanitary inspection from October, 2000 "Polvak" is constantly applied at water-purifying constructions of RDPE.

__Application of "Polvak" has provided a possibility to solve problems of coagulation of incoming water and enhance its attributes to fit requirements of State 2874-82 of "Drinking water".

__Today the major technical project of the enterprise is reduction of power consumption.

__Main measures of power consumption reduction are:

__- Introduction of multiple-rate counters;

__- Electrification of working wheels;

__- Regulation of pressure zones;

__- Selection of optimal operating modes of the pump equipment;

__- Establishment of converters of frequency at pump stations;

__- Assembling of bypass pipelines and replacement of aeration systems on sewer cleaning constructions;

__- Replacement of the pump equipment at sewer pump stations with less power-intensive.

__At the enterprise:

__- The monthly average current consumption has decreased from 1 million 450 thousand in KW/h. in 1996 to 510 thousand KW/h in May, 2007;

__- Introduction of the newest technologies of water processing and its delivery to the consumer;

__- Improvement of drinking water quality which is delivered to consumers;

__- Reduction of water losses in a network of water supply to 23 %.

__But many questions remain unsolved and arise in the course of enterprise activity, in particular:

__- A question of reliable power supply to 1-3 water-lifts;

__- A question of building of a new coastal pump station for reliable water supply of a city;

__- Economic questions related to reconstruction of plants of the enterprise.

__- Great volumes of unproductively used water inside buildings networks of water supply.

__In prospects of development of the city metal works mill "Vorskla-steel" is planned.

__According to the accepted agreements between management of metallurgical industrial complex and city administration, on conditions of combined financing it is planned to carry out a construction of water pump at the 1st water-lift, to reconstruct operating water-purifying constructions, to improve a technical side of water provision network and city drainage system.

__As a result of that the enterprise can ensure reliable work of all complexes of system of water supply and drainage system, improve quality of provided services and strengthen an economic condition of the enterprise.
