__ME "Drohobychvodokanal" provides services of centralized water supply to cities: Drohobych, Stebnyk, Truskavets and 15 villages of Drohobytskyi and Stryiskyi districts. Underground waters of small rivers Stryi and Bystrytsia are sources of the centralised water supply.

__ME "Drohobychvodokanal" provides services of separation of drainage system and clarification of sewer drains of Drohobych and Stebnyk, accepts drainage from Truskavets and Boryslav for clarification. Total length of sewer networks - 104 km, from them pressure head - 11 km.

__The USA agency of international development PADCO, Institute of local development have awarded the enterprise with distinction for active participation in realization of "Tariffs reform and conversion of the municipal enterprises in Ukraine" program, initiatives in implementation of some organizational measures of reforming plumbing economy of the city, active participation in process of strategic planning and successful application of two demonstrational projects.

__According to the Strategic plan of action for 2006-2010 the enterprise has launched two projects:

__1.To improve water supply in Drohobych was made a reconstruction and automation of 4 pump units D-630 which are mounted at the pump station of the 2nd water-lifting station "Urizh". For the economy of power resources and to control their use such actions are executed: automation of technological solutions; installation of two frequency converters with capacity of 250 KW; establishment of gauges of pressure on head water lines; management of pump units in automatic and manual modes; switching of the frequency converter from the working pump unit on reserve in automatic and manual operating modes; establishment of gauges of the control of water level on the tank with min, max water level and delivery of a sound and light signal. Capability of priority performance of management commands of the level gauge over the pressure gauge; establishment of the timer of water delivery schedule with possibility of weekly programming. Economic benefit of introduction of the given project makes 15 %. 2. To improve water supply of the cities Drohobych, Stebnyk, Truskavets at pump station of the 2nd water-lifting station "Hirne" were established two modern pump units NP-300-500-355, by WILO company, with productivity 1500 m3/h, pressure - 80 and conducted reconstruction of power-saving equipment. Start and shutdown of pump is conducted by installation of smooth launch unit series MCD 3000. To save power resources and control their use there is provided an automatic indemnification of jet capacity. Economic benefit of introduction of the project makes 20 %.
