__RME "Company "Luhanskvoda" solves one of the important questions of life-support of Luhansk oblast - supply of the population and the industrial enterprises potable water, granting of services of a drainage system and clarification of sewage. The basic direction of activity is in optimum use of the existing potential of the enterprise for its effective work and further development in the conditions of market economy for the purpose of satisfaction of needs of region in services of water supply and a drainage system in necessary volume and necessary quality.

__All work of the enterprise is built on such principles: application of progressive industrial and administrative technologies; modernisation and development of networks and the equipment; optimisation of existing productions and systems of water supply and a drainage system; constant monitoring of the given services, payments, and expenses of means; development of the personnel and improvement of working conditions; a careful altitude to water resources and ecological safety.

__The experts of the company with the help of Luhansk Regional State Administration and direct participation of workers of the State Housing Municipal Economy of Ukraine have developed "Program of reforming and development of water-sewer economy of Luhansk oblast for 2004-2006 with prospect of development till 2010", confirmed by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from July 13, 2004. In the program there is represented the whole range of questions of reforming and development of water-sewer economy of the oblast. The program is directed to stabilisation of maintenance of the population with qualitative potable water, prevention of occurrence of extreme sanitary-and-epidemiologic situation and social pressure in region, carrying out of a complex of actions for decrease of the cost price of services of water supply and a drainage system.

__Structurally RME "Company" Luhanskvoda" consists of six regional departments: Luhanskyi, Pivdennyi, Alchevskyi, Starobilskyi, Svitlychanskyi, on operation of ZFS which structure includes 15 departments which provide 24cities, 135 settlements of city type and 81 rural settlement of Luhansk oblast with services of water supply and a drainage system.

__Average annual extraction of water by structural subsections of RME "Company "Luhanskvoda" makes about 220 million cubic m 80 % of which are extracted from the underground water fences located in pool of Siverskyi Donets and its inflows, 20% - from open sources of Siverskyi Donets, Yanovskyi and Yelyzavetynskyi water basins.

__RME "Company" Luhanskvoda" serves 56 complexes of sewer cleaning constructions (a designed capacity - 520 thousand cubic m a day), 114 sewer pump stations, 1719, 2 km of sewer networks.

__The control on quality of potable water and clarification of drains is made by 28 laboratories of RME "Company" Luhanskvoda" (16 laboratories on quality of potable water and 12 laboratories on control of clarification of drains at cleaning constructions). Laboratories are equipped with necessary analytical equipment.

__Capacities of the company allow providing all consumers of the oblast with necessary quantity of water. At the same time the complex of organizational-technical actions for improvement of system of water supply is realised. The permanent job concerning increase in a profitable part of the budget of the company, decrease in the cost price of cubic metre of potable water and drains, reduction of losses of water in networks and highways, cardinal replacement of the power-intensive equipment is conducted.

__Further work of RME "Company" Luhanskvoda" will be directed to maintenance of stable round-the-clock water supply and a drainage system, improvement of quality of services and carrying out of actions for environmental contamination reduction.
