__ME "Oblvodokanal" of the Zaporizhia regional council is one of the biggest enterprises in Ukraine which renders services at water supply and drainage system to cities and villages of the Zaporizhia oblast.

__The enterprise took part in building, and nowadays maintains a unique complex of water supply which provides the population "deprived of water" of the southern part of Zaporizhia oblast, in particular Berdyansk with qualitative water from Dnipro. Also the system of ME "Oblvodokanal" has 36 underground sources of water supply which provide the population of northern, central, eastern and western regions of oblast with water.

__The municipal enterprise has been based in 1966. For today its structure includes 6 industrial subsections, in particular an operational shop of water supply and drainage system, a site of drainage system and 4 operational shops of water supply:

__- Operational shop of water supply of the Western group waterpipe (Yakymivka);

__- Tavriyskyi operational shop of water supply (Dniprorudnyi);

__- Rozivskyi operational shop of water supply (Rozivka);

__- Velykobilozerskyi operational shop of water supply (V. Bilozerka);

__- Stepnohirskyi operational shop of water supply and drainage system (Stepnohirsk);

__- Vilnyanska site of drainage system (Vilnyansk).

__The enterprise maintains 639, 42 km of water and 41, 43 km of sewer networks, 10 water and 5 sewers PS.

__Municipal enterprise "Oblvodokanal" is completed with the highly skilled experts which work has made possible for the inhabitants of oblast to drink qualitative water as the basic goal of the enterprise is protection of health of the population of oblast, creation of favorable sanitary and ecological living environment, maintenance of excellent quality, safety and availability of potable water.

__Quality assurance of potable water and sewage is performed by 3 chemical-bacteriological laboratories (VUV, ECV ZGV, and RECV).

__The water condition is defined with 31 indicators. All laboratories are certified by the State standard of Ukraine.

__The enterprise constantly improves the technical possibilities, in particular:

__- capacity of cleaning constructions of the western group water carrier has been increased 50 %;

__- replacement of microfilters by the cassette filters loaded with foam polystyrene has been made, the water distributive system on contact lighters has been replaced;

__- electrolysis units on manufacture of sodium hypochlorite at objects of PME have been installed;

__- new technologies of work of pump units with an establishment of regulators of the reference of engines and introduction of the automated control systems by technological process are introduced;

__- the enterprise assists performance of regional and branch programs of development of objects of water supply and drainage system.
